Mrs Jo Ropner, Lord Lieutenant for North Yorkshire and Vice President NE RFCA, presented her Lord Lieutenant’s Certificates for Meritorious Service to members of the Reserve Forces and Adult Volunteers from all three Services on Tuesday 15 March 2022.
Mrs Ropner also presented Cadet Proficiency Awards to members of the Cadet Forces and appointed her Lord Lieutenant’s Cadets for 2022. In her address she paid tribute to all the recipients for their dedication and commitment to their various organisations and the wonderful example they set to their communities; she also thanked families and friends for their invaluable support and encouragement as without this these organisations would not be able to function nearly as well as they do..
On behalf of everyone attending, Mrs Ropner thanked Lt Col Will Blackhurst and the team at Quebec Company, 4th Battalion The Yorkshire Regiment for hosting the ceremony, and Director of Music, Capt T Milford and The Royal Signals (Northern) Band for providing a very enjoyable musical programme throughout the evening.
