The members and staff of the North of England RFCA send warmest congratulations to our President, Mrs Susan Winfield OBE, CStJ, Lord Lieutenant of Tyne and Wear, who was made a Commander of the Royal Victorian Order (CVO) in the 2022 New Year's Honours List.
The Royal Victorian Order was founded by Queen Victoria in 1896, and all awards bestowed as part of the Order are given at the discretion of the Sovereign. The Order is used to recognise a wide variety of service to the Sovereign and the Royal Family.
Mrs Winfield said: “It has been a privilege to be the Lord-Lieutenant of Tyne and Wear during the last seven years representing Her Majesty The Queen, bringing recognition to the wonderful work of individuals and organisations across our community.
